The Westport Library held a panel discussion Sunday about the local impact of the 2024 Presidential Election results.

The library and the Y's Men of Westport-Weston co-sponsored the event.

Panelists included CNN Morning host John Berman, veteran journalists Alisyn Camerota and Dave Briggs, and special guest U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal.

"I think it reflects the anxiety that people have with politics right now, and it is a curiosity as to what's going to happen in the future, and this is an opportunity for them to hear from some of the influencers," said Bruce Borner, president of Y's Men of Westport-Weston.

Borner added that he hopes meetings like this one give people something to hope for when it comes to the current political climate.
