A Westport resident was arrested Sunday for assaulting and threatening to kill a pregnant woman back in February.

Police say 27-year-old Tae Juan Foskey got into an argument with the victim and attempted to choke her.

They say Foskey also told the victim, who was pregnant at the time, that he was going to kill her.

The victim contacted police the day after the incident, Feb. 21, and police issued a warrant for Foskey’s arrest.

He turned himself in to the Westport police station Sunday.

Foskey’s charges include assault of a pregnant victim and criminal attempt at strangulation.

His bond was set at $100,000.
