Staff and visitors of all town buildings in Westport will be required to wear a mask starting today regardless of their vaccination status, town officials say.
The town library is also considered one of the buildings where masks will be required again.
Town Hall staff will be required to check their temperature as they enter the building.
Walk-ins will still be allowed at Town Hall, but the public will have their temperature taken too.
Residents are encouraged to use online services instead.
Town Hall meetings can be held outside at the picnic table in the back of the building or in the lobby.
Town and library employees will return to weekly COVID-19 testing.
First responders will also be required to wear masks again when interacting with the public indoors regardless of their vaccination status.
Town officials say while it's up to restaurants and businesses whether they decide to bring back some COVID-19 safety policies, the public should expect many of them to require masks again.
