Westport fire officials are warning about the dangers of brush fires.
They say a fire in the area of Compo Beach was started from a cigarette yesterday.
Officials say they quickly put out the flames on a wood shingled roof.
They say the fire could have been a disaster if it wasn't quickly spotted.
