Those in Connecticut could soon see relief at the pump after lawmakers passed a bill that will temporarily suspend part of the state's gas tax.
Under the new bill, the state's retail gas tax of 25 cents per gallon will be suspended from April 1 to June 30.
Also, during that time frame, the state will offer free CT Transit bus rides.
There will also be a second tax free week for clothes under $100, like the tax-free week that takes place in the state before the start of the school year.
It will take place from April 10-16.
Gas prices in the state have continued to go down this week in Connecticut.
According to AAA, the price for a gallon of regular is $4.32 today.
Down from a penny Wednesday, and down 8 cents from a week ago.
The national average for a gallon of gas is $4.24.
