Hundreds of players competed in a wiffle ball tournament in Milford Saturday to raise money to help students cover college costs.
The 3rd annual Britton John Broatch Memorial Wiffle Ball Tournament started after the 25-year-old died three years ago from a stroke. Broatch?s family says he loved the game and it?s their way of honoring him. The event raises money for Foran High School students, where Broatch graduated from in 1996.
About 250 players on 56 teams took to the field to compete. Players ranged in age and gender, but all said they were happy to have fun and support a good cause.
