A 17-year-old was allegedly assaulted by a man who crashed a party she was throwing in Fairfield.
Officials say a 17-year-old host was overwhelmed when unwanted guests began showing up at her small party at her townhouse on North Benson Road early Sunday morning.
The woman told officials that most of the party crashers left when she turned them away at the door, but one man refused to take no for an answer, according to Fairfield Police Lt. James Perez.
Perez says the attacker allegedly punched the woman in the face, chest and left arm.
He says the woman was treated at a hospital. He says she doesn't know the alleged attacker and says she told officials the man ran after being chased by her guests.
A spokesperson for Fairfield University says they cannot comment about the incident because it is an active investigation.
The alleged attacker has not yet been identified. Fairfield police are asking anyone with information to call them.
