A disabled News 12 Connecticut viewer got a big surprise Sunday when a local nonprofit showed up with a very special gift.
Robin Garry, 62, who lost both legs to a chronic illness, received a low-mileage wheelchair-accessible van.
The gift was made possible by Joe Kaliko at the Needs Clearing House, along with Ride for Kids and the Robert Morris Family Trust.
Garry is the 25th News 12 Connecticut viewer over the past decade to receive a wheelchair-accessible van.
