A construction worker in Fairfield has been taken to the hospital following a serious accident on the job.
Police say the man was cutting concrete in a trench near the corner of Jennings Road and King's Highway this morning when the saw slipped and cut his chest.
Emergency crews had to used a stretcher to get him out of the three foot ditch.
Police say the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
