The Hudson Valley got the chance to learn the stories of sacrifice and patriotism with Wreaths Across America.
The organization made a stop in Elmsford as it continues its national tour.
Alexander Hamilton High School was the first stop among four others in New York state that Wreaths Across America's mobile education exhibit will be at this month.
Stefan Brann, of Wreaths Across America, says the mission is to remember fallen veterans, honor those who continue to serve and teach the value of freedom. The 70-foot bus has a screening room that showcases the importance of remembering and honoring national heroes.
"When people walk away today, I just hope that they take away a little bit about Wreaths Across America and our mission. We can't continue to see growth in this country without people getting a little bit of knowledge about our mission and why we're here to do what we do," says Brann.
Elmsford Mayor Robert Williams requested the mobile education exhibit stop in Elmsford a year ago, now he gets to see it in person. Williams invited the village summer camp and VFW posts across the county to attend the exhibition.
