Three-time Grammy Award-winner Wyclef Jean is coming to Stamford.
The concert will benefit the nonprofit Career Resources and is part of Stamford's Downtown "Alive at Five" series.
Career Resources, Inc., also known as CRI, helps veterans develop job skills and find jobs.
"It's important for us to recognize our vets and show total respect. Because at the end of the day what really makes America great is the fact of people sacrificing their lives for us everyday," the artist said in an interview with New 12 Connecticut's Justin DeVellis.
A text-to-donate campaign will be displayed on stage throughout the event, allowing audience members to donate directly from their phones.
The concert will take place on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. at Mill River Park in Stamford.
