Connecticut's minimum wage is set to increase again next year.
Gov. Ned Lamont announced Wednesday that the state's minimum wage will rise to $17.48 an hour beginning Jan. 1, 2027.
The current minimum wage is $16.94 an hour.
Lamont said the increase is intended to help ensure that full-time workers can better afford the cost of living.
"Nobody working a full-time job should be living in poverty," the governor said.
The increase will take effect statewide on Jan. 1.
