A Yale student says she was assaulted by a pro-Palestinian protester during a rally on campus Sunday.
Sophomore Sahar Tartak says she went to the rally with several other people to record the protest. Tartak is the editor in chief of the Yale Free Press.
She says protesters were preventing her from walking around when she arrived at the event. She said she began recording a group of students when they began taunting her and restricting her movement.
At one point, she claims one protester waved a Palestinian flag near her face before hitting her with it. She says other demonstrators blocked her from confronting her alleged attacker.
There is no word on whether police have made any arrests.
The group Yale Jews for a Ceasefire issued a statement in relation to the situation on their Instagram account.
