It was a busy night at The Palace Theatre on Saturday in Stamford as the Yunist Dance School performers helped raise thousands of dollars for Ukraine.
As Ukraine withstands the brutality of Russia's war, Yunist Dance School says it's their duty to make sure their unbreakable culture lives on.
Through the dance, their expression, and movements, dancers of all ages and Ukrainian backgrounds showed the Stamford community the importance of their culture.
"We want to hold onto Ukraine as much as we can because if Ukraine is erased, we are erased, " said Solomiya Momot, Yunist Dance School.
The event sold over 650 tickets and all proceeds from the night will benefit those impacted by the war.
Yunist Dance School also has a Ukrainian dance school in New Jersey and New York City.
