Police say a man was killed on the streets in Bridgeport Tuesday night and another was seriously injured after being shot.

The shooting happened around 8 p.m. on Norman Street near Hanover and State streets, according to authorities. Family, friends and neighbors rushed to the street corner after hearing about the shooting.

The man who survived was taken to Bridgeport Hospital. The names of the shooting victims have not been released and police are continuing to investigate.
