Two badly emaciated dogs were removed from a home in Stratford Friday, officials say.
Animal control removed the two dogs from the house at 402 Burritt St.
Animal control officers say the dogs are both males that are about 3 years old. The dogs, who officers renamed Charlie Brown and Linus, were immediately taken to the vet and examined.
Officials are waiting for blood test results, but say the dogs are safe and in stable condition.
Animal control officers say they don't know how long the dogs were left alone, but say they appeared scared, thirsty and malnourished.
Charlie Brown and Linus will be put up for adoption.
