Two historic buildings on East Main Street are set to receive a makeover.

The neighboring Bridgeport buildings are over 100 years old, according to officials. They will be converted into affordable housing, a fast food restaurant and a gas station that has chargers for electric vehicles.

The owner and developer of the properties says the city has been a good partner.

Mayor Joe Ganim says projects like these strengthen the vitality of communities.
