Police are investigating an overnight crash that happened on I-95 in West Haven.

The crash occurred on the southbound side between exits 42 and 43.

According to  police, two cars were speeding when one of them struck a third car from behind, and then struck the other car on its passenger side.

Two people were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for minor injuries.

One of the drivers involved was issued a misdemeanor charge for reckless driving.
