2 injured in separate stabbing, shooting on Southern Boulevard
Two men were injured in two separate crimes on Southern Boulevard this morning.
Police say around 1:15 a.m., shots rang out by the corner of Southern Boulevard and East 174 Street. A man in his 30s was shot in the buttocks, and was able to get to the hospital on his own.
According to police, around 4 a.m. about a half-mile away, a man was stabbed in the shoulder. Police say the stabbing occurred on the sidewalk in front of an apartment building at 1327 Southern Blvd. near Jennings Street.
Police have yet to release the name or age of that victim, but tell News 12 he is an adult.
Both men are listed in stable condition and are expected to be OK.
There have been no arrests in either incident, and police say there is currently no indication the two crimes are connected.
