Connecticut State Police said two new training units graduated from the K-9 Accelerant Detection class on Friday.
State police celebrated the graduation of Detective Jon Baisley and K-9 Gracie from the Connecticut State Police and Sgt. Michael Rykowski and K-9 Minnie from the Hartford Police Department.
Officials said the teams are specially trained to detect and alert the presence of combustible liquids.
The two units will begin assisting the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit and the Hartford Police Department Major Crimes Division in future investigations.
