The accused killer of two Fairfield jewelry shop owners is fighting extradition to Connecticut.
Authorities say Timothy and Kimberly Ann Donnelly were gunned down in their store by Christopher DiMeo last February. Investigators say it was part of robbery spree DiMeo and his girlfriend used to feed their drug addictions. DiMeo is currently serving a life sentence in New York for another murder. However, many in Fairfield believe he should have his day in court in Connecticut.
Fairfield First Selectman Ken Flatto says he just wants DiMeo locked up for good. Many think the decision whether to prosecute him in Connecticut depends on what the Donnelly?s family wants to do.
