Adam Sandler was spotted at gourmet deli Fred 06825 on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield Monday afternoon.

Store employees say he was seen around 2 p.m., after he picked up his parents in New Hampshire and was passing through on his way to Philadelphia. They say that's when he saw the sign and wanted to go in and get something to eat.

The staff says they thought they recognized Sandler, and once he started talking, they knew for sure it was him. They say he ordered meatballs, chicken cutlets and some stuffed peppers.

He also took photos with the staff, and they say he was very friendly and accommodating.

This isn't the only celebrity sighting in Fairfield lately - Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio have also been seen recently.
