An old candy shop that was once a staple in Greenwich is reopening with a slightly different format.
Ada's Candy and Variety Shop on Riverside Avenue opened back in 1954 and served customers for over 50 years. The owner of the shop, Ada Cantavero, passed away in 2008.
Now, Cantavero's family says the shop is reopening as Ada's Kitchen and Coffee. The store will be a full deli as well as a coffee shop. There will also be a small corner for candy to keep Cantavero's legacy alive.
News 12 Connecticut is told the grand opening could happen as early as March of next year.
