The American Red Cross hosted a Halloween-themed blood drive in Fairfield today.
The "Starve a Vampire" blood drive was held at the Scandinavian Club on South Pine Creek Road in Fairfield.
Fairfield-based Haddad & Partners, a global marketing agency, took part in the drive. The CEO encouraged his staff to donate blood this Halloween as a lifesaving "treat."
The Red Cross says recent hurricanes and the last few years of the pandemic have taken a toll on blood supply.
Officials say donations are critical in making sure patients have the blood products they need.
