While thousands of protesters marched in Washington, D.C. Saturday, anti-war demonstrators in southwestern Connecticut took to the streets of Stamford.More than 60 protesters lined the streets downtown asking for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq. Organizers say they started out with about a dozen people holding signs and their support grew. The protest stems from President Bush?s plan and supports Congress' opposition.Thousands of protesters from around the country also joined at the nation?s capital at the National Mall Saturday to oppose the ongoing war in Iraq.
