Arrangements set for trooper who died of 9/11-related cancer
Funeral arrangements have been finalized for a state trooper who died from 9/11-related cancer.
Trooper Walter Greene died last week after an illness that has been blamed for his work at Ground Zero in the weeks following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
State police say calling hours for Trooper Greene will be held Monday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pavilion at Sherwood Island State Park.
On Tuesday, a motorcade of 250 police motorcycles will lead a procession from Norwalk back to the park for the funeral service at 11 a.m.
