Doctors are advising southwestern Connecticut residents to take extra precautions as temperatures heat up Tuesday. Doctor Michael Carius, of Norwalk Hospital, said the combination of heat and humidity can be dangerous. ?Your best bet is to stay hydrated by drinking water and do not get overheated,? Carius said. Air quality also becomes a concern in extreme heat. Carius advises people with existing lung conditions to stay indoors.
