Topstone Park in Redding has a new feature for man's best friend. The new dog park is the result of months of hard work by an aspiring Eagle Scout, his family and helpers.

Ian Cedusky and his family raised thousands of dollars for materials to take on the project.

"A lot of the people I had to lead were adults, which is a little awkward for someone who is 17, telling 40-year-old men what to do," said Ian Cedusky.

After months of working wintry weekends, the park is complete, ready to be enjoyed by furry friends.

Donations are still being accepted to put in a few benches and the town will add a garbage can for doggie bags.

The name of the dog park has yet to be decided.
