Authorities: MTA worker found dead on Mosholu Train Yard tracks

The NYPD say a Metropolitan Transportation Authority worker has died while on the job at the Mosholu Train Yard.

The NYPD say a Metropolitan Transportation Authority worker has died while on the job at the Mosholu Train Yard.
The 38-year-old female MTA worker had a possible medical episode at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, police say.
The FDNY says the person was unconscious on the train tracks when found and was taken to Montefiore Hospital.
The worker was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The MTA provided the following statement:
“The Transit family is heartbroken to have lost a colleague as she was putting a train into service at the Mosholu Yard to help move New Yorkers, and we are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what happened.”
