Authorities say an accident involving several cars in Brookfield sent many people to the hospital Friday night.

They say the seven-vehicle accident happened around 5 p.m. on Route 7 in the area of Exit 11.

Officials say 12 people were evaluated on scene and 10 were transported to Danbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

They say this is the third multi-person accident in the area in the last several weeks. They urge drivers to travel safely and to wear their seatbelts.
