A popular blogger from Darien is being remembered by the thousands she helped inspire.
Family, friends and thousands of cancer patients and survivors are mourning the loss of Lisa Bonchek Adams, who died last Friday after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
Her blog, LisaBAdams.com, detailed her treatments and her thoughts for nine years. It was nationally recognized as an inspiration for cancer patients.
Adams has more than 15,000 followers on Twitter. Her Facebook page is overflowing with comments from people who want to know what she was thinking, feeling and going through as she battled the disease.
The 45-year-old will be laid to rest on Monday. A service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Darien.
She leaves behind three children.
