With the economy in a recession, Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is calling for credit card reform.
"For the sake of our economy and individual families without homes and resources, we need to impose some discipline on these credit card companies," Blumenthal says.
This idea is also shared by President Barack Obama, who met with industry leaders on Thursday about the need for credit card companies to be more responsible when lending.
Until a decision is reached, Blumenthal recommends that people get help consolidating debt.
