A boys mentoring program held its annual gala in Bridgeport this weekend.
The program lights a path to the future, according to Alfred and Brenda Fleming, who run B and B 4 U. The program teaches boys and young men to dance and other arts. The couple says those who take part learn valuable skills throughout the year to help mold their futures.
"We do teach them public speaking ... we're just trying to teach the youth to give back," says Brenda Fleming.
The Mister King Ball gala is held every year for the program. Sen. Richard Blumenthal calls the Flemings "true American heroes" for being positive role models for young people.
