A Bridgeport travel agency, Traveland, is helping families afford vacations despite difficult economic times, but is struggling to keep its business going.
Due to the poor economy, the travel agency has been forced to shut down two of its four locations. According to co-owner Eitan Battat, the agency decided to close the locations so that everyone didn't lose their jobs.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Battat and other small business owners were in Milford discussing ways to stay afloat. Listening to their concerns were Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-3rd District) and Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.).
"There are federal initiatives from the economic recovery package to provide aid [and] tax credits," DeLauro says.
