Tonight's Mega Millions jackpot is now worth $640 million.
The lottery says the lump sum payout would be $462 million dollars. A winner would then owe $115.5 million in federal taxes and about $31 million in Connecticut state taxes leaving $315.5 million.
If a person were to take the yearly payouts, they would receive a check for $24,615,385, before taxes, every year for 26 years.
