A breakfast was held Thursday in Bridgeport to celebrate those who helped victims of Hurricane Maria.
The American Job Center thanked its volunteers, partners and host families who helped hurricane victims.
In November, the center established its Puerto Rico Relief Center in Bridgeport. It recently closed in March, but during the time it was opened, volunteers helped more than 375 displaced families. Organizers say they are grateful for the community's support.
News 12 Connecticut has learned that most of the families from Puerto Rico that relocated to Bridgeport have remained in the city.
