The head of the state's Department of Children and Families was in Bridgeport yesterday to take a look at recent renovations to a facility that helps children in crisis or abuse situations.
Commissioner Joette Katz toured the recently upgraded Boys and Girls Village on Bennett Street.
Officials say the improvements will allow the facility to be more accessible to at-risk youth.
Katz says the DCF wants the kids to have the best possible care.
