A Bridgeport church is holding a fundraiser for a local musician who needs a kidney transplant.

Organizers at the East End Baptist Tabernacle say Miles Gordon, who has been on dialysis for years, needs help with travel and other expenses as he waits for a donor.

“Miles grew up in this church. He has a long history in music with both gospel and R&B. I think this is an opportunity for those communities to come together and really show our support for him,” said Rev. Charlie Stallworth.
