Several Bridgeport candidates for city council had a second chance to campaign Sunday more than a month after the primary.

The election originally took place on Sept. 12 and resulted in a tie between Herron and Keeley. A judge then ordered a special primary for Nov. 14 after a recount had incumbent Jeanette Herron nudging out challenger Bob Keeley by one vote.

Herron was out campaigning Sunday at the American Cancer Society’s annual walk at Seaside Park.

The candidates are vying for a seat in the 133rd District.

Challengers Mike DeFilippo and Anne Phillips will also be on the ballot for the special election.

The final election is set for Dec. 5.
