Bridgeport copes with soaring July temperatures
Bridgeport officials are hitting the streets today in a coordinated effort to keep the public safe as temperatures soar into the mid-90s.
The city is keeping water parks operating throughout the day to help people cool off.
Cooling centers are also available throughout the city.
City officials say it's not just a matter of personal comfort. They say the possible heat wave could jeopardize residents' health and safety.
