Relatives are still mourning a year after a car crash killed three members of a Bridgeport family, but they say they hope to pay forward the support they've received from their community.
The surviving family members say they're grateful for the kindness they were shown after the tragedy. They say they want to make sure others who lose loved ones know that they're not alone.
Jesenia Velentin, 29, her daughter Angelina Rodriguez, 9, and her niece Asyria Ferrer, 14, were killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 in New York last year.
Velentin's vehicle had run out of gas, and she was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher when the truck struck.
On the one year mark, relatives released balloons at the accident site.
