The Bridgeport father of three accused of stabbing his ex-wife to death Saturday night faced a judge Monday.
Police say 32-year-old Xavier Figueroa turned himself in less than three hours after police found the body of his wife, 28-year-old Lisa. According to police, she was found lying facedown in a pool of blood, with several stab wounds to the torso, neck and face. Police say they found a knife believed to be the murder weapon lying nearby.
Figueroa faced his ex-wife's sister and apologized to her directly as he was lead into the courtroom handcuffed. He is being held at Bridgeport Correctional Facility on a $1.5 million bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 7.
