Bridgeport father says arrest in son's slaying brings him closer to justice

The father of a Bridgeport murder victim tells News 12 he is one step closer to getting justice for his son following the arrest of his suspected killer.
As News 12 reported, Nyair Nixon was killed in 2020 at the Keystone Lounge in Bridgeport.
"You know, they arrested the person that supposed to have done it but I still don't have my son. So, you know, it's bittersweet," said Charles Nixon.
Earlier this week, Charles Lee Young, 37, was arrested and charged with murder.
Young is currently in federal custody for unrelated charges.
Nyair Nixon's father Charles Nixon says his son was studying at the University of Hartford and planning to be a registered nurse.
Charles Nixon says his son was a hard worker who wanted to make his family proud.
