Bridgeport first responders came to the rescue of a disabled woman who recently acquired a life-changing motorized wheelchair.
A recent News 12 report helped Jessica Gonzalez get a motorized wheelchair. Now, a few people from American Medical Response and the Bridgeport Police Department mobilized their Marilyn Goldstone Foundation to buy her two new industrial  vehicular batteries for the wheelchair.
The batteries were the one thing the wheelchair lacked after she acquired it. They come at a hefty price, but AMR covered the cost.
The group also surprised Gonzalez's two twin boys who turn 11 Sunday with a Nintendo Switch and a tool set.
