A Bridgeport man was arraigned Monday in connection with violent shooting in Park City over the weekend.

Police say gang members shot a teenager early Saturday morning at the corner of Boston and Palisade. Markis Campbell, 19, is accused of pulling the trigger and hitting another teenager, leaving the victim hospitalized.

Investigators say the shooting was in response to an early shooting across the city in a church community center. Although officers set up surveillance at the church, somehow a gun was still brought in.

Officers say at least two of the shootings may have resulted from gang rivalries.

Some Bridgeport residents feel that more security is needed to protect them from the city?s violence.
