A Bridgeport man is in critical condition after police say he was hit by two cars while crossing the street.
The collision happened just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 2000 block of Boston Avenue, between Weber Street and Kent Avenue, in Bridgeport.
Police say 50-year-old Henry Scott was crossing the street when he was struck by a white car, cracking its windshield. They say the impact threw Scott into the air, and he was ran over by another white car.
A friend of the victim says Scott was walking to a Chinese restaurant when he was hit.
Police say Scott broke his legs, an arm and some ribs and is in the intensive care unit. He is expected to survive.
Both drivers remained on scene following the crash. Police say they will check security footage from businesses near the crash site as part of their investigation.
