Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch and Sen. Richard Blumenthal attend D-Day Ceremony
D-Day ceremonies were held in southwestern Connecticut Friday.
In Bridgeport, Mayor Bill Finch and Sen. Richard Blumenthal joined World War II veterans at Colonel Mucci Plaza to pay tribute.
Sen. Blumenthal presented Mayor Finch's father with an American flag as a special salute for his service in the war.
Finch's father was overcome with emotion by the gesture.
