Bridgeport Mayor Joseph Ganim has signed the contract for the restoration of the Majestic Theater and Poli Palace.

Developer Exact Capital Group plans to refurbish the theater and add apartments, retail, and entertainment spaces, all while maintaining many historical features.

Mayor Ganim says the project is investing in the future of Downtown Bridgeport.

The developer hopes to break ground late next year.
