Bridgeport officers rescue man threatening to jump off bridge on I-95

Officials said the man's family later called police to thank both officers for rescuing their loved one.

Bridgeport officials are congratulating two police officers for rescuing a man they say was hanging off a bridge on I-95 and threatening to jump.
They said it happened on Wednesday morning.
Police say Bridgeport Officer Corey Baldwin, and Master Sgt. Matthew Geddes, of the Connecticut State Police, pulled the man to safety.
Officials said the man's family later called police to thank both officers for rescuing their loved one, who was taken to the hospital for treatment.
