Bridgeport officials are looking for the cause of a fire that damaged an apartment house.

It happened on Hope Street in the Black Rock section of the city.

Officials say no one was inside when fire and smoke broke out on the first floor of the multi-family home.

The apartment where the fire started was left uninhabitable, but the residents of two other apartments were allowed back in their homes
